I'm hitting the road on business for a couple of weeks. It's great timing and will help my resolve to stay out of Rift until the head-start. I don't foresee any drastic class changes at this point which is the only thing I'd want to test. Racial overhalls mean nothing to me. I didn't even look at them before selecting my race since callings aren't limited by them.
I won't be doing a black out on Rift information. I will be gobbling up any and all news and blog posts on the game. There are a lot of great resources for news and lore, here are the places I visit in addition to my blogroll:
Sanctum Podcast (Live show is on Sunday, 3 PM Pacific and is absolutely great fun!!)
Rift Junkies (Combat Parser available from this team)
The racial overhall was a big deal. Previously, Guardians had 2 healing racials and 1 mana regen racial. Defiant had 1 healing racial and 2 damage racial. The most broken one was Kelari which guaranteed you a critical hit when the standard critical hit chance is under 20% for rogues and under 10% for Warriors.
The new racial abilities needs some tweaking and are also significant. The flying and leaping abilities make it a lot easier to navigate terrain. If you like exploring these abilities help you get to hard to reach places.

Uh is that why I parsed high crit hits with average gear?? Yikes. Based on that I went for a crit build for melee and my ranged DPS/healer.
