Fashion-only gear sets have landed in Runes of Magic. Not surprisingly the females get to wear revealing crotch gear, except for one set that has a full length robe. *sigh* If you haven't been following ROM news closely, you might wonder why anyone would purchase gear without stats. The answer is the Aggregator, a tool that allows you to combine the looks from one item with the stats from another.
I'm not blown away by the sets they showed in the announcement so I won't be rushing off to purchase the gear or the Aggregator just yet, all of which are micro transactions via the Item Shop. I'd wait to see what my top level gear models look like before investing cash in forming an outfit at level 30.
The Nighthawk set is the only one of those that I like, male or female.

Yeah, the women tend to be outfitted a bit more lightly. They say you'll "look" cool, but I'd say you'll be staying rather cool too. At least none of the sets feature pasties. :)

Really, I can't understand how some hot pants and a micro top can have the same defense stats as a fully closed leather suit. Maybe the mobs are very skilled only to hit the body parts covered with armor. Or maybe the mobs get distracted by sight of female skin, so their hit rate drops. ;-)
And for balance: wearing the logar leather set together with a cloak, Mekrath looks like a mix of Superman and a 60 year old Freddy Mercury. :-/
