I suppose I should give it another shot eh?

You'll know when I do because there'll be a blog post about it. :)

Marchosias

Well I've been kicking around in Wiz101 as well - turned on to it by your posting about it. I like it, it makes me think that this is how MTG online should be made into an MMO, but without all the censoring, hehe.

You mention that you're on the Wu server or something? I didn't realize there were seperate, selectable servers - I just dl'd it and started playing, AND I subscribed after a week or so. Anyways, it's a nice diversion - thanks for turning me on to it!

It's only 3 level 40's BTW. :P

Yeah, I realized I was in trouble when I just could not stop playing it even when I thought I wanted to. For me, it condenses a lot of what's fun in MMO's and leaves many of the parts that isn't out.

And now, it even has PVP and PVP rewards! Zoinks!

@Winged - Only 3 level 40s, my bad and lazy you. lol

@Marchosias - It took me a while to find out about the servers as well. The fact that it's so transparent AND you can move to different servers to play with friends at will is great.

@Jason - Yeah, you better resist. You'd never live it down at Channel Massive.

Downloaded before bed last night, Saylah. :)

Though I may not get to it until this weekend. WoW patches today and L4D is begging to be played. But I started Willian Greenthorn and completed the tutorial before bed beckoned.

Malistair's a d-bag. Ha!

Alysianah aka Saylah

@Bildo - LOL. First pointer is there is no training points respec so spend them wisely. Never use them to buy you're primary school spells. You get those for free.

PS. You're welcome March!

You don't decide which server to connect to when you log on. It assigns you to different ones dynamically based on server loads. You can, however, switch between the different servers and zone instances at will to facilitate grouping with friends.

So it's basically a sane version of Eve Online's single server model.

Alysianah aka Saylah

Yes, what Winged said, which is why most players don't realize there are different servers. They're accessed from the Options menu. Hit [escape] click on the globe tab, choose and server and click "go to...".

When I solo I play on Ambrose. I prefer crowded servers. I like the feel of the zones around me being alive with lots of players even though I don't actually want to play with any of them. LOL Sometimes I'll joined combat groups to add a little variety but not often. *Smile*
